John Talan Church, better known as JT Church, was born on January 17, 2006 in Bristow, Virginia. From a young age, he showed a natural talent and passion for dancing. Church started taking dance lessons when he was just five years old, and quickly began to excel in various dance styles.
Church's dance career really took off when he started competing in dance competitions. His dedication and hard work paid off when he was named the 2016 NUVO Mini Male Breakout Artist of the Year. His talent caught the attention of the producers of the reality competition series So You Think You Can Dance, where he competed as a Top 10 finalist in 2016.
Building on his success, Church went on to join Dancing with the Stars: Juniors in 2018, where he partnered with professional dancer Robert Roldan and ultimately won the competition. His infectious personality and impressive dance skills made him a fan favorite throughout the season.
Despite his rising fame, Church remains grounded and values his family above all else. He lives in Bristow, Virginia with his parents, John and Leslie, as well as his younger brother Bradley, who is a talented skateboarder. Leslie, also known as churchmom18 on Instagram, works as a realtor when she's not supporting her son's dance career.
