Josiah Marshall, born on April 4th, 1991 in Portland, Oregon, grew up with a deep love for music and the outdoors. As a child, he enjoyed spending time fishing and exploring the beautiful landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.
Marshall attended high school in Portland, where he met his future bandmate Julien Ehrlich. The two quickly bonded over their shared passion for music and began playing together in various bands throughout their teenage years.
After high school, Marshall moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he joined the indie rock band Whitney. Alongside Ehrlich and Max Kakacek, Marshall helped form the band's signature sound, blending elements of indie rock, folk, and soul.
