Josh Patterson was born on February 7, 1977 in Texas. He grew up in a Christian home and from a young age, he felt called to ministry. After completing high school, he attended Texas A&M University where he earned his undergraduate degree. Following his time at Texas A&M, he pursued further education and obtained a Masters in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Driven by his passion for leadership, Josh went on to earn a Doctorate in executive leadership from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His academic pursuits equipped him with the knowledge and skills needed to lead effectively in the ministry.
Josh Patterson is not only a co-author of the book 'Creature of the Word', but he also serves as the lead pastor of Ministry Leadership at The Village Church in Flower Mound, Texas. He has been an integral part of the church's growth and development since December of 2002.
Under Josh's leadership, The Village Church has seen exponential growth, having expanded to five campuses and averaging over 11,000 attendees during weekend worship services. His role on the elder board gives him oversight of all ministries across the church's multiple campuses.
Josh Patterson is a devoted husband to his wife Natalie, and together they have four children: Lily, Luke, Liv, and Lucy. Despite his busy schedule, Josh values spending quality time with his family and strives to be a loving and supportive father.
