Joei Decarlo was born on September 28, 1996 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From a young age, she showed a passion for music and performance. Her parents recognized her talents early on and enrolled her in voice lessons at the Fifth Stone Music School in Philadelphia. At the age of eight, she transferred to the Sal Dupree Music School in New Jersey, where she continued to hone her musical skills.
Decarlo's dedication to her craft paid off when she graduated from the Girard Academic Music Program in Philadelphia in 2015. She then decided to further her education at Temple University, where she pursued a double major in adult and organizational development and strategic communication. During her time at Temple, she was an active member of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
Decarlo's big break came when she was cast as Joei Battalucci in the 2010 film "Standing Ovation." The role was created specifically for her by the film's writer and director, Stewart Raffill. Decarlo's performance in the film garnered critical acclaim and established her as a talented actress to watch.
