Joe Meinwieser was born on May 13, 1988, in Toms River, New Jersey. From a young age, he showed a talent and passion for art. Growing up in a creative household, Joe was encouraged to pursue his artistic ambitions. He was always drawing and painting, and it was clear to those around him that he had a natural gift.
As a teenager, Joe started hanging out at a local tattoo parlor in Toms River, eager to learn more about the art of tattooing. He eventually struck a deal with the owner to clean and run errands in exchange for getting free tattoos. This was Joe's first taste of the tattoo industry, and he quickly fell in love with the craft.
In 2009, Joe decided to pursue a career as a tattoo artist. He started apprenticing at Tattooville in New Jersey, where he honed his skills and learned the ins and outs of the trade. Joe's talent and dedication quickly caught the attention of his mentors, and he soon began taking on clients of his own.
Joe's big break came when he was cast on the Oxygen network reality series Tattoos After Dark. The show followed Joe and his fellow artists as they created incredible tattoo designs for their clients. Joe's charismatic personality and exceptional talent made him a fan favorite, and he quickly became one of the most popular artists on the show.
In 2015, tragedy struck when Joe was involved in a serious traffic accident with actor John Larroquette. The accident left Joe with severe injuries, including broken ribs, a fractured spine, and the loss of half of his kidney. Despite the physical and emotional toll of the accident, Joe remained resilient and determined to recover.
Joe has a close relationship with his brother, Edward, who has been by his side throughout his recovery journey. Together, they have supported each other through the ups and downs of life in the spotlight.
Today, Joe continues to work as a tattoo artist, splitting his time between Tattooville in New Jersey and OceanFront Tattoo and House of Ink in Los Angeles. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of his art and exploring new techniques and styles. Joe's passion for tattooing is as strong as ever, and he hopes to inspire others to pursue their dreams and never give up, no matter what challenges they may face.
