Joe Buras, born on September 20, 1989 in the United States, developed a passion for music at a young age. Growing up, he was drawn to the world of heavy metal and was inspired by bands such as Metallica and Slipknot. It was during his high school years that he would meet the individuals who would eventually become his bandmates in Born of Osiris.
Before the band settled on the name Born of Osiris, they went through a series of iterations including Diminished, Your Heart Engraved, and Rosecrance. It was through these early projects that Joe honed his skills as a vocalist, keyboardist, and synth player.
