Joanna Merlin, born Joann Ratner on July 15, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, is a renowned stage actress, casting director, and television and film actress. She is best known for her role as Judge Lena Petrovsky on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Mrs. Arujo in Mystic Pizza.
