In 2003, Conrad signed with the Kansas City Wizards in Major League Soccer (MLS). It was with the Wizards that Conrad truly made a name for himself as one of the league's top defenders. Known for his leadership on the pitch, he captained the team and led them to the MLS Cup in 2000. His impressive performances caught the attention of the US national team, and Conrad represented his country from 2005 to 2010. He played in both the 2006 World Cup and the 2007 Copa America, showcasing his skills on the international stage.
