Jason Lyle Black was born on July 8, 1987, in Livermore, California, into a Mormon family. From a young age, he showed a natural talent for music, particularly the piano. His parents encouraged his musical pursuits, and he began taking lessons at a young age.
After completing his high school education, Jason attended Brigham Young University (BYU), where he graduated cum laude with a BA in accounting in 2010. Not one to rest on his laurels, he went on to earn his master's in accounting from the same institution in 2012.
