Jana, born Dragana Todorovic on March 15, 1974 in Yugoslavia, discovered her love for music at a young age. Growing up, she would often listen to traditional Serbian folk songs and dream of one day becoming a singer herself.
At the age of fourteen, Jana performed a live cover of a song by popular folk singer Semsa Suljakovic. Her raw talent caught the attention of music producers, and she was soon signed to the record label Zabava Miliona.
It was at this time that Jana adopted her stage name, as there was already an artist named Dragana signed to the label. She began releasing albums and singles, quickly gaining a loyal fanbase.
Jana's career took off with the release of albums like Sokolica in 1998 and Ostavi Mi Drugove in 2000. Her powerful vocals and emotional lyrics struck a chord with audiences, earning her numerous hits such as "Ko Visoko Leti" and "Barabar."
She shared a record label with fellow Serbian folk superstar Dragana Mirkovic, solidifying her status as one of the leading figures in the genre.
Despite her busy career, Jana remains close to her family. She has a brother, Dejan, and a sister, Danijela. In November 2006, she welcomed her daughter Kristina into the world, bringing joy and inspiration to her life.
Throughout her journey in the music industry, Jana has stayed true to her roots and passion for traditional Serbian folk music. Her songs continue to resonate with fans, showcasing her talent and dedication to her craft.
