Jamie Mathias was born on October 4, 1990 in Abertysswg, a small village in Wales located in the Rhymney Valley. Growing up, Jamie had a passion for music and was drawn to the heavy metal genre at a young age.
Before joining Bullet for My Valentine as their bassist in 2015, Jamie played bass for a metal group called Revoker. He honed his skills and developed a reputation as a talented musician within the metal community.
It was during his time working at a car sales showroom in Cardiff that Jamie received the call that would change his life. He was offered an audition to join Bullet for My Valentine as their new bassist, replacing long-time member Jason James. Jamie seized the opportunity and impressed the band with his skills, officially joining the group in 2015.
