In 1952, Lovell married Marilyn Gerlach, with whom he had four children. The couple enjoyed a long and happy marriage until Marilyn's passing from natural causes at the age of 93. Lovell's family provided him with unwavering support throughout his career, allowing him to pursue his dreams of space exploration.
