Ivy Floyd was born on October 13, 2003 in New Jersey to her mother Shaquannah Floyd. From a very young age, Ivy showed a natural talent and passion for jump roping, thanks to her mother introducing her to the sport at the tender age of 2. It was clear from the beginning that Ivy had a bright future ahead of her in the world of Double Dutch.
As Ivy grew older, her skills as a jump roper only continued to improve. She eventually caught the attention of one of the top jump roping teams in the United States, Floyd Little Double Dutch. Ivy quickly became an integral part of the team, showcasing her incredible talent and dedication to the sport.
In 2014, Ivy and her Double Dutch team received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform at the White House Easter celebration. This experience not only solidified Ivy's status as a rising star in the jump roping world, but also opened doors to even more exciting opportunities.
Later that same year, Ivy and her team were chosen as the opening act for the prestigious 2014 BET Awards. The performance was a massive success and further cemented Ivy's reputation as a talented and dynamic jump roper.
Despite already achieving so much success in her jump roping career, Ivy's biggest break came when she and her team landed a docu-series on Lifetime called Jump!
