Hugo Johnstone-Burt was born on October 10, 1988, in Edinburgh, Scotland. When he was just 2 years old, his family decided to move to Sydney, Australia. Growing up, Hugo's brother joined the army, his sister pursued a career in law, and his parents served in the Navy. Despite his family's diverse paths, Hugo had always known that he wanted to pursue acting.
After finishing high school at Barker College, Hugo decided to further his education at the prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Art. In 2009, he graduated from NIDA, showcasing his talent in his graduation play, where he played the role of Jack in 'The Importance of Being Earnest'.
After graduating from NIDA, Hugo began his acting career in Australia. He landed his first breakthrough role as a guest star in the mini-series 'Cloudstreet', which helped him gain recognition in the industry. He then went on to appear in popular Australian television shows such as 'Home and Away' and 'Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries' before making his big screen debut in the blockbuster film 'San Andreas' alongside Dwayne Johnson.
Outside of his acting career, Hugo enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is a nature lover and often goes on hikes to relax and unwind. Despite his busy schedule, he always makes time for his loved ones and enjoys exploring new places and trying out new experiences.
