Early Life

Hu Bing was born on February 14, 1971, in Hangzhou, China. He comes from a family with a military background, as both of his parents served in the armed forces. He also has an older brother, Hu Dong, who is also a well-known actor, model, and singer in China.

Education and Sports Career

At the age of 11, Hu Bing started training to become a professional sculler. His dedication and hard work paid off when he won the Chinese National Rowing Championship in the men's single scull event at just 16 years old. Following his success in rowing, he attended the Zhejiang Provincial Athletic Institute where he majored in health education and sports psychology.

Rise to Fame

After his time at the athletic institute, Hu Bing went on to join China's national rowing team and competed at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Unfortunately, his Olympic dreams were cut short when he suffered a back injury from overtraining in 1990.

Despite this setback, Hu Bing's journey to success was far from over. In 1991, he took the fashion world by storm by winning the prestigious Top Chinese Male Model title. He made history as the first Chinese male model to walk the international fashion runways, paving the way for future Asian models in the industry.
