Hosanna Kabakoro was born on June 24, 1992 in Seoul, South Korea, where her father was attending seminary. However, she spent her early childhood in Fiji before emigrating to the United States in 2000 after the Fijian coup d'état. This early exposure to different cultures and experiences would shape her future path in life.
One of Kabakoro's first forays into the professional world was as an intern for U.S. senator Larry Craig in 2008. This experience opened her eyes to the world of politics and public service. She later transitioned into the world of media, working as a radio correspondent for KLIX-FM Radio in Idaho.
However, Kabakoro's true passion lay in the world of fashion. She made a name for herself as an editor for Mai Life Style, the first South Pacific fashion and style magazine. Her keen eye for design and trends quickly propelled her to fame in the fashion industry.
Outside of her journalism career, Kabakoro was also involved in pageantry during her teenage years. In 2010, she won the title of Miss Idaho Teen USA, which led her to represent her state in the Miss Teen USA pageant. She was not only a beauty queen but also a humanitarian, winning the Miss Congeniality award for her dedication to community service.
Kabakoro's commitment to giving back to her community did not go unnoticed. In 2009, former first lady Laura Bush presented her with the prestigious Prudential Spirit of Community Award for her exemplary public service efforts. This recognition further solidified Kabakoro's reputation as a dedicated and compassionate individual.
Throughout her career, Kabakoro has maintained a strong connection to her roots, holding dual citizenship in both Fiji and the United States. She has also been actively involved in charitable causes, serving on the Board of Vision Fiji and becoming a model and spokesperson for the Fiji Water Foundation.
As a trailblazer in the world of fashion journalism and a dedicated advocate for public service, Hosanna Kabakoro continues to inspire others with her passion and commitment.
