George Forsyth Sommer was born on June 20, 1982 in Caracas, Venezuela. He is the son of Peruvian diplomat Harold Forsyth and former Miss Chile Maria Veronica Sommer Mayer. Growing up, George had a privileged upbringing, attending Markham College in Lima, Peru.
Before his professional debut with Alianza Lima in 2001, George played for FC Lannesdorf 07 in Germany. It was with Alianza Lima that George experienced his greatest success as a goalkeeper, winning four Primera División del Perú titles from 2001 to 2006.
In 2014, George Forsyth took a different path and was elected mayor of the La Victoria district of Lima, Peru. His leadership abilities and commitment to serving his community became evident as he tackled issues facing the district.
George Forsyth is not only known for his achievements in soccer and politics but also for his personal life. He married actress Vanessa Terkes in 2018, creating a power couple that captivated the media and fans alike.
