Garrett Noonan was born on January 28, 1991 in Norfolk, Massachusetts to parents Joe and Mary Noonan. From a young age, he showed a passion for hockey and began playing competitively at a young age. He attended Catholic Memorial High School where he co-captained the hockey team and was named one of the MVPs of the Catholic Conference in 2009.
After high school, Noonan went on to attend Boston University where he continued to excel in hockey. He served as co-captain of the men's ice hockey team and became a standout defenseman. His skills and leadership on the ice caught the attention of NHL scouts, leading to his selection in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Upon being drafted, Noonan joined the Nashville Predators where he began his NHL career as a defenseman. He quickly proved himself to be a valuable asset to the team, showcasing his defensive prowess and offensive abilities on the ice.
