Fred Crist Trump Jr. was born on October 14, 1938, in Queens, New York. He was the eldest son of Fred Trump and the older brother of Donald Trump. From a young age, Fred Jr. showed an interest in aviation. He studied business at Lehigh University and graduated from St. Paul's School in 1956.
Coming from a prominent family, Fred Jr. was expected to follow in his father's footsteps and join the family real estate business. Despite working for his father for a period of time, Fred Jr. had a different dream - he wanted to become an airplane pilot.
Leaving the family business behind, Fred Jr. pursued his passion for aviation. He trained to become a pilot and eventually earned his wings. However, his battle with alcoholism soon took a toll on his career. Fred Jr. faced criticism from his relatives for his decision to leave the family business and his struggles with alcoholism.
With his aviation career derailed by his addiction, Fred Jr. returned to work for the family business. Despite his challenges, he remained dedicated to his family and their business endeavors. He married Linda Clapp in 1962 and together they had a daughter, Mary Trump.
Unfortunately, Fred Jr.'s battle with alcoholism continued to haunt him. In 1981, at the age of 42, he suffered a fatal heart attack which was attributed to his struggles with alcohol. His death was a devastating blow to his family, especially his brother Donald Trump.
