Early Life and Education
Fatima Louise Lagueras, better known by her stage name Fana, was born on April 23, 2000, in the Philippines. She was raised by her mother, Momshie Gina, alongside her sister named Farha. From a young age, Fana showed a passion for music and performing.
Fana attended St. Paul University in Quezon City, where she honed her skills and developed her love for R&B music. Despite facing some early setbacks in her music career, Fana persevered and continued to pursue her dream of becoming a successful singer.
Rise to Fame
In 2017, Fana auditioned for The Voice Teens Philippines Season One but was unfortunately eliminated in the knockout round. However, she did not let this defeat deter her. In 2019, she competed in Idol Philippines and impressed the judges and audience with her soulful voice. Fana finished in 8th place before being eliminated in July during the live rounds.
Fana's big break came in November 2020 when she released her track "Out" on the Himig Handog 11th Edition album. The song garnered widespread attention and showcased Fana's vocal talent and unique R&B style. She quickly became known for her soulful voice and captivating performances.
Music Career
Fana's singles, "Out" and "Tawa Tawa," further solidified her reputation as a rising star in the Filipino music industry. She joined the New Gen Divas in April 2022, a group of talented singers coming together to showcase their vocal abilities.
In 2020, Fana was part of Sunday Noontime Live's project co-ed music group, Ultimate Vocal Showdown. Her participation in the group further cemented her place as a versatile artist capable of delivering powerful performances across various genres.
