Ethan Horvath was born on September 9, 1995, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. From a young age, he was surrounded by soccer as both his parents had a passion for the sport. His father, Peter Horvath, played college soccer for the Midwestern State Mustangs and went on to play professionally for the Major Indoor Soccer League club, Denver Avalanche. Ethan's mother, Deanna, also had a love for soccer and played during her secondary school years.
Horvath signed his first professional contract in 2013 to play with a team in Norway. His talent as a goalkeeper quickly caught the attention of clubs in England, and he had the opportunity to train with prestigious teams such as Manchester City, Bristol City, and Stoke City.
