While working on a project for Lucasfilm, Bauersfeld was approached to provide the voice for Admiral Ackbar in the film Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Little did he know that this role would become one of the most iconic in his career, with the famous line "It's a trap!" forever etching his name in the hearts of Star Wars fans worldwide.
Aside from his portrayal of Admiral Ackbar, Bauersfeld also lent his voice to other characters in the Star Wars universe, including Bib Fortuna. He further showcased his talent in films such as A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Crimson Peak, solidifying his reputation as a versatile voice actor.
