Eric Halvorsen was born on May 28, 1988 in Park Ridge, Illinois. He grew up in a musical household, with his older sister Dana also sharing a passion for music. From a young age, Eric showed a natural talent for playing the bass guitar, and his love for music only grew as he got older.
Eric first gained recognition as a founding member of the rock band A Rocket to the Moon. He joined the band in 2006, where he played bass guitar and provided backing vocals. A Rocket to the Moon quickly gained a following, with their catchy melodies and heartfelt lyrics resonating with fans around the world.
After A Rocket to the Moon disbanded, Eric briefly joined Cobra Starship, a pop-punk band known for their energetic live shows and infectious music. During his time with Cobra Starship, Eric performed alongside lead vocalist Gabe Saporta and drummer Nate Novarro, solidifying his reputation as a talented musician.
Following the dissolution of Cobra Starship in 2015, Eric joined Chain Gang of 1974, a synth-pop band known for their eclectic sound and dynamic performances. With Chain Gang of 1974, Eric continued to showcase his skills as a bassist, contributing to the band's unique sound and helping them garner a new wave of fans.
