Eric Friedman was born on June 28, 1984, in Yorba Linda, California. From a young age, he was drawn to music and began playing the guitar at the age of 13. He quickly developed a passion for music and dedicated himself to honing his skills as a guitarist.
Before joining Creed, Eric was the lead guitarist for the bands Submersed and Daughters of Mara. It was during his time with Daughters of Mara that fate would intervene and lead him to his future bandmates in Creed. His manager introduced him to Mark Tremonti, the lead guitarist for Creed, and the two quickly realized that they had a unique musical chemistry.
