Elliott J. Douglas was born on July 18, 1991, in the United States. From a young age, he showed a passion for music and would often spend hours practicing different instruments. It was clear to those around him that he had a natural talent for music.
Before gaining recognition as M.A.G.S., Douglas released an EP with a band called the Malones. The three-piece band showcased his raw talent and unique sound. However, the band broke up at the end of 2013, leading Douglas to pursue a solo career.
M.A.G.S. quickly gained attention for his punchy, garage rock style. He released two albums titled Cellophane and M.A.G.S., showcasing his versatility as a musician. His debut EP was recorded entirely solo, highlighting his skills as a multi-instrumentalist.
The name M.A.G.S. holds sentimental value to Douglas, as it was in reference to his grandmother Maggie. However, due to the existence of another artist named Mags, he added periods to distinguish himself. Despite his solo beginnings, Douglas has since added two other members to his act, further evolving his sound.
