Edward Yong Oh, more commonly known by his stage name Eddy Oh, was born on July 7, 1990, in Los Angeles, California. At the age of fourteen, he moved to South Korea with his family and it was there that his passion for music and performance began to flourish.
Upon his arrival in South Korea, Eddy decided to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. In 2012, he trained at the SidusHQ agency in hopes of becoming a successful idol singer. Unfortunately, his time at the agency did not yield the desired results.
Determined to succeed, Eddy turned to martial arts and acrobatics as a way to further develop his skills. He enrolled in the Seoul Action School where he honed his abilities and learned valuable techniques that would later serve him well in his career.
In 2015, Eddy's hard work paid off when he became a member of the K-pop group JJCC. The group, formed by martial artist and movie star Jackie Chan, quickly gained popularity in the music industry. Their debut full album, Ackmong, was released in August of the same year, showcasing Eddy's talent as a vocalist and performer.
Aside from his music career, Eddy also made a name for himself on television. In 2012, he appeared on MasterChef Korea, where he impressed audiences with his cooking skills and was affectionately nicknamed the Cooking Rapper.
Despite his busy schedule as a pop singer and entertainer, Eddy remains close to his family. His parents, who own several restaurants in the United States, played a significant role in shaping his interest in cooking. Through them, he developed a love for culinary arts that he continues to explore to this day.
