Edin Terzić was born on October 30, 1982 in Menden, Germany. He comes from a mixed heritage, with roots in Croatia, Bosnia, and Yugoslavia. Growing up, he developed a passion for soccer and dreamt of one day playing professionally.
Terzić attended Ruhr University Bochum in Bochum, Germany, where he honed his skills both on and off the field. After graduating, he made the leap into professional soccer, joining FC Iserlohn 46/49 in 2003.
As a forward, Terzić enjoyed a successful career in Germany from 2003 until 2010. During this time, he played in 158 career games, scoring a total of 21 goals. His standout performance came during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 club seasons with BV Cloppenburg, where he notched a career high of eight goals.
After retiring from professional play in 2010, Terzić decided to transition into coaching. He worked diligently to earn his coaching credentials and was eventually rewarded with the opportunity to lead a team.
In 2022, Terzić was appointed as the head manager of Borussia Dortmund, a prestigious club in the German soccer scene. Taking the helm of such a storied team was a dream come true for Terzić, who was eager to leave his mark on the club.
