Dong-Suk Kang was born on April 28, 1954 in South Korea. He showed a natural talent for music from a young age and began playing the violin when he was just a child. His passion for the instrument only grew as he got older, leading him to his first concert performance at the age of eight.
In 1967, Dong-Suk Kang was accepted to the prestigious Juilliard School in New York City.
