Darius Phillips was born on June 26, 1995, in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up, he lived with his mother, Lisa, who was his biggest supporter in pursuing his dream of becoming a professional football player.
Before entering the NFL, Phillips played college football at Western Michigan University. He quickly made a name for himself as a standout player, earning recognition as the MAC Special Teams Player of the Year twice during his college career.
In 2018, Phillips was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. He made his official NFL debut during week one of the 2018 regular season, where he faced off against the Indianapolis Colts.
