Danielle Corsetto, a talented cartoonist and writer, was born on March 23, 1981, in the beautiful state of California. She spent her formative years near San Jose before moving to Frederick, Maryland with her family. It was here that she discovered her passion for the arts and began honing her skills as a visual storyteller.
After high school, Danielle pursued a degree in photography at Shepherd University in West Virginia. It was during her time at Shepherd that she first dipped her toes into the world of comics, creating a short-lived strip called "Larry & Caroline" for a local newspaper.
Following graduation, Danielle delved into the world of caricature, working at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio and freelancing for agencies like The Nose and About Faces Entertainers. These experiences helped her develop her unique drawing style and sense of humor.
In October of 2004, Danielle launched her most well-known project to date: Girls With Slingshots. This beloved webcomic series follows the lives of a group of quirky and lovable characters as they navigate the ups and downs of friendship, love, and adulthood.
Over the years, Girls With Slingshots gained a dedicated following and garnered critical acclaim for its humor, heart, and diverse representation of characters. Danielle's storytelling prowess and artistic talent shone through in every panel, solidifying her reputation as a rising star in the world of indie comics.
While Girls With Slingshots continued to captivate readers, Danielle expanded her creative horizons by collaborating with BOOM! Studios on three Adventure Time graphic novels. These projects allowed her to work with beloved characters from the hit animated series and showcase her skills to a wider audience.
