Raised in Adelaide, he attended Blackwood High School where he would meet his future music collaborator, Suffa. The two quickly bonded over their shared passion for hip hop and began making music together.
In 1991, Daniel and Suffa, along with DJ Debris, came together to form Hilltop Hoods. The group quickly gained recognition in the Australian hip hop scene for their unique sound and powerful lyrics. They released several singles and EPs before dropping their debut album, "The Light You Burned," in 2009.
