Daniel Hamilton, a skilled 6'7" guard/forward, was born on August 8, 1995 in California to parents Karen and Greg Hamilton. He was raised as the youngest of six children in a supportive and basketball-loving family.
Hamilton began his basketball journey in high school, playing for both St. John Bosco and Crenshaw High School. His talent and dedication on the court caught the attention of college scouts, leading him to the University of Connecticut in 2014.
During his freshman year at UConn, Hamilton made an immediate impact. Starting in every game, he showcased his versatility and skill, earning him the title of American Athletic Rookie of the Year in 2015. He became only the second UConn freshman to finish a season with over 300 points, 200 rebounds, and 100 assists.
