Cyrus Spencer was born on February 28, 1990, in Dallas, Texas. He spent his childhood in Atlanta, Georgia, where he discovered his passion for dance at a young age. At just eight years old, he began dancing and quickly fell in love with the art form. However, Cyrus took a hiatus from dancing to focus on sports before rediscovering his love for dance at the age of fifteen.
By the time Cyrus was a contestant on Season nine of So You Think You Can Dance, he had developed a unique style of dance that was categorized as popping/animating. His talent on the show caught the attention of audiences and judges alike, ultimately leading him to the co-runner-up position alongside Tiffany Maher. Despite not winning the competition, Cyrus's performances were memorable and earned him recognition for his distinct talent.
Outside of his time on So You Think You Can Dance, Cyrus has showcased his dancing skills in various projects. He was featured as a dancer in the movie Step Up: All In and appeared on the show Austin & Ally. Additionally, he signed with Xcel Talent Agency in December of 2011, where he contributed to the dance movement set to dubstep music.
While Cyrus's professional career has been filled with success and recognition, he has also navigated personal relationships along the way. He was previously in a relationship with fellow dancer Jasmine Harper, showcasing a shared passion for dance that extended beyond the stage. Cyrus's dedication to his craft and his ability to connect with audiences have continued to shape his personal and professional life.
As Cyrus continues to pursue his passion for dance, he remains a force to be reckoned with in the industry. His dedication, talent, and unique style have cemented his place as a dancer to watch, inspiring others to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of dance.
