Curley "Boo" Johnson was born on October 2, 1965, in Illinois. He grew up in Peoria where he attended Peoria Richwoods High School. Johnson was a talented athlete from a young age, excelling in football, baseball, and basketball. After playing sports for Richwoods High School, he transferred to Peoria Central and continued to stand out as a star player.
After honing his skills in high school, Johnson went on to join the Harlem Globetrotters in 1988. During his impressive 18-year career with the legendary team, he played in an astounding 4,210 games across 81 countries. Johnson's exceptional basketball abilities and charismatic personality made him a fan favorite around the world.
