Christian Schaffer was born on July 5, 1986 in Arkansas. She spent her childhood in Wisconsin before making the decision to move to Hawaii for college. Growing up, she developed a love for the outdoors and quickly found a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of the world around her.
After graduating from high school, Christian pursued a degree in Business and Spanish at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. It was during her time at university that she honed her photography skills and discovered her unique eye for capturing landscapes.
After completing her degree, Christian ventured into the world of retail, working as a manager for Abercrombie & Fitch. However, she soon realized that her true calling was in photography. In October of 2014, she made the decision to share her breathtaking landscape photos through Instagram, marking the beginning of her journey as a travel photographer.
Christian's career as a travel photographer took off rapidly. Over the course of 11 months, she embarked on a whirlwind adventure, traveling through 5 continents and 19 different countries. Along the way, she stayed in 21 hostels, 15 hotels, 14 homes, 2 tents, and even a treehouse. Her Instagram following grew steadily, with over 310,000 followers captivated by her stunning images of locations such as Utah, Arizona, Oregon, California, and Canada.
