Chris Robinson, born on May 5, 1938, in Florida, is best known for his roles on popular soap operas such as General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful. Before making a name for himself in the world of acting, Robinson worked as a stuntman and appeared in a few acting roles during his twenties. One of his earliest roles was playing an outlaw named Tom Sanger in an episode of the Western series Colt .45 in 1960.
Robinson's big break came when he was cast as Rick Webber on General Hospital. He originated the role and portrayed the character from 1976 to 1978. After Robinson's departure from the show, Rick Webber was played by another actor, but Robinson returned to reprise his role in 2002 and again in 2013. His portrayal of Rick Webber earned him a loyal fan following and solidified his status as a soap opera star.
In addition to his role on General Hospital, Robinson also appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as Jack Hamilton. He showcased his acting skills and charisma on the show, winning over audiences with his powerful performances.
Off-screen, Robinson married actress Jacquie Robinson and the couple has five sons together. Their son, Taylor Joseph Robinson, followed in his father's footsteps and also pursued a career in acting, appearing on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Aside from his soap opera roles, Robinson also had a starring role on the World War II drama series 12 O'Clock High, where he starred alongside Paul Burke from 1965 to 1967.
