Charlie Pearl was born on November 12, 1989 in Southern California. She spent her early childhood in California before her family decided to move to Hawaii when she was still a small child. It was in Hawaii that she began her schooling, experiencing a different culture and way of life.
However, when Charlie was in elementary school, her family made the decision to move back to California, settling down in the San Fernando Valley. This marked the beginning of a pattern of moving around that would become a defining aspect of her youth.
Despite the constant moving, Charlie found stability in her passion for cheerleading, dance, and academics. She was a competitive cheerleader and dancer during her high school years, earning the title of an AP student. After high school, she transitioned into coaching cheerleading and working with the United Spirit Association, tapping into her love for the art of dance and performance.
It wasn't long before Charlie's talents caught the attention of the music industry. In 2010, she became the only female backup dancer for the popular group LMFAO, a role she held until 2015. During her time with LMFAO, Charlie toured internationally and appeared in numerous music videos and television shows, solidifying her presence in the entertainment world.
Charlie's versatility as an artist didn't stop at dancing. She also established herself as a rapper, forming one-third of the group Better Off Young. In addition to her work as a rapper, Charlie also pursued modeling, showcasing her talents in a variety of creative outlets.
In 2015, Charlie and Better Off Young were signed by ANTI Society Records, further propelling her career to new heights. She continued to collaborate with other artists, appearing in music videos for big names such as Afrojack, Ice Cube, Lana Del Rey, Jessie J, and Sean Kingston.
