Channing Peake, born on November 27, 1994, in Santa Barbara, California, was destined for a career in music from a young age. He met his future bandmate and lead singer, Tyler, in 3rd grade, and the two quickly bonded over their shared love for rock music. In elementary school, they formed a guitar trio and wowed their classmates with their original compositions. Peake also showed his athletic prowess by playing on his high school's varsity volleyball team for three years.
It was in high school that Peake and Tyler decided to form the band False Puppet, with Peake taking on the role of bassist and back-up singer. The band quickly gained a following with their high-energy performances and catchy melodies. In 2013, False Puppet released their debut EP, Far Out, showcasing their unique sound and songwriting skills. The following year, they caught the attention of producer Ronnie King, known for his work with Mariah Carey, who would later support the band on tour.
False Puppet's big break came in 2015 when they were invited to play 13 dates at the prestigious Vans Warped Tour music festival. The band's dynamic performances and infectious energy captivated audiences and helped them gain even more fans. On June 30th of that year, False Puppet released their debut full-length album, Gibraltar, further solidifying their place in the rock music scene.
