Cansu Özbay was born on October 17, 1996, in Izmir, Turkey. From a young age, she showed a passion for volleyball and began playing for her hometown club, Arkas Spor, in her youth. It was clear early on that she had a natural talent for the sport.
As Cansu honed her skills on the volleyball court, she caught the attention of talent scouts and coaches. She was soon recruited to play for VakıfBank, one of the top volleyball clubs in Turkey. With VakıfBank, Cansu achieved great success, winning the 2017-18 Turkish Women's Volleyball League with her team.
Her stellar performances didn't go unnoticed, and she was named Best Libero for the Finals Series of the league. This recognition only served to further solidify her reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the world of volleyball.
Cansu's success extended beyond the borders of Turkey. In 2023, she played a key role in leading the Turkey women's national volleyball team to victory in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Her dedication and skill on the court were instrumental in securing the championship for her country.
