Camille Rast was born on September 7, 1999, in Sion, Switzerland. From a young age, she was drawn to the snowy slopes of the Swiss Alps. At just 2 years old, Camille strapped on her first pair of skis and began her journey towards becoming a world-class alpine ski racer.
Camille's passion for skiing only grew stronger as she got older. In November 2015, at the age of 16, she entered her first FIS races, marking the beginning of her competitive ski racing career. Despite her young age, Camille showed incredible talent and determination on the slopes, quickly making a name for herself in the skiing world.
In 2017, Camille achieved a major milestone in her career when she was crowned the junior world champion in slalom. Her technical skill and fearless approach to racing set her apart from her competitors, earning her a reputation as a rising star in alpine skiing. In 2019, she continued to impress, winning the title of junior world vice-champion in giant slalom. These victories solidified Camille's place among the elite ski racers of her generation.
While skiing was Camille's primary focus, she also excelled in academics. In 2020, she earned a degree in law and economics, showcasing her dedication and intelligence both on and off the slopes.
When she's not skiing, Camille enjoys a variety of activities, including horseback riding and endurance mountain biking. She values time spent in nature and finds solace in the adrenaline-pumping thrill of these pursuits. Known to her friends and fans as "Cam," she embodies a spirit of adventure and perseverance that inspires those around her.
Camille was raised in Vetroz, Valais, Switzerland, by her parents.
