Bob Hartley was born on July 9, 1960, in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada. Growing up in a hockey-loving family, Hartley developed a passion for the sport at a young age. He began playing hockey in local leagues before eventually transitioning to coaching. Hartley started his coaching career with a junior A team in his hometown, where he quickly made a name for himself with his strategic gameplay and leadership skills.
In 1998, Hartley made a significant career move when he was appointed as the head coach of the Colorado Avalanche in the NHL. Under his guidance, the Avalanche experienced great success, culminating in a Stanley Cup Championship in 2001.
