Blind Fury, whose real name is Stephen Norris, was born on October 10, 1984 in Camden, South Carolina. From the moment he was born, Fury faced numerous challenges due to several birth defects. He was diagnosed with spina bifida, a condition that affects the spine, and was also blind. In addition, Fury had clubbed feet and required multiple surgeries throughout his childhood to address his medical issues.
Despite his physical challenges, Fury's parents enrolled him in an infant stimulation program in Camden when he was just 10 months old. This early intervention helped Fury develop important skills and set the stage for his future success.
Despite his disabilities, Fury showed a natural talent for music from a young age. He began honing his skills as a rapper and MC, specializing in the art of battle rap. In 2003, Fury gained national recognition when he appeared on the live Rocafella MC battle on MTV. This appearance catapulted him into the spotlight and solidified his reputation as a skilled MC battle rapper.
In December 2010, Fury achieved another milestone in his career when he was crowned the Freestyle Friday Champ on B.E.T's 106&Park. This win was followed by an even greater achievement in 2011 when Fury was named the Freestyle Friday Grand Champion.
Throughout his career, Fury has released several mixtapes, including Street Leaks Vol. 1 & 2, Fury Friday, Do You See What I Hear, and Return of the Fury Friday. In 2014, he released his debut album, Young and Gifted Always, which showcased his lyrical prowess and storytelling abilities.
