Blake Bell was born on July 8, 1991 in Wichita, Kansas. He attended Bishop Carroll Catholic High School where he began his football career as a quarterback. His father, Mark Bell, was a former NFL defensive end and tight end, which inspired Blake to pursue a career in football.
After high school, Bell went on to play college football for the Oklahoma Sooners. In 2011, he made a name for himself by being named Most Valuable Player of the Insight Bowl after rushing for three touchdowns in the game. He was a key player in the team's success and helped lead them to victory in the 2014 Sugar Bowl.
In 2015, Bell was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the NFL Draft. He made the transition from quarterback to tight end and quickly made an impact on the field. Despite being drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 2010 MLB Draft, Bell chose to pursue a career in football.
