Benjamin Sargent was born on October 26, 1977, in Cambridge, Massachusetts to parents William and Claudia Sargent. Growing up, he developed a passion for food and cooking, which would ultimately shape his future career.
Sargent attended Skidmore College, where he studied Studio Art. However, it was during his time at college that he discovered his true calling in the culinary arts. After completing his undergraduate degree, he decided to further pursue his passion by enrolling in the French Culinary Institute.
