Austin Pruitt was born on August 31, 1989 in Plano, Texas. From a young age, he showed a natural talent for baseball and quickly rose through the ranks in the Texas youth baseball scene. His passion for the sport led him to pursue a career as a professional baseball player.
Pruitt attended Navarro Community College in Texas before transferring to the University of Houston. During his college years, he honed his pitching skills and caught the attention of scouts from various Major League Baseball teams.
