Atiquah Hasiholan was born on March 1, 1982, in Jakarta, Indonesia. She grew up in a creative household, with her mother, Ratna Sarumpaet, being a prominent Batak playwright. Atiquah is the youngest of four children and was exposed to the world of theater from a young age.
After completing her high school education in Jakarta, Atiquah went on to pursue further studies at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. There, she focused on media and psychology, a combination that would later serve her well in her acting career.
During her summers away from university, Atiquah would return to Indonesia and participate in her mother's theater troupe. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for acting and decided to pursue it as a career.
In 2006, Atiquah made her feature film debut in the critically acclaimed movie, Berbagi Suami (Love for Share). Her performance caught the attention of audiences and critics alike, leading to more opportunities in the Indonesian film industry.
