Art Alexakis was born on April 12, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately, tragedy struck early in his life when his brother and his girlfriend both committed suicide when he was just twelve years old. Despite the hardships he faced, Alexakis found solace in music and started his first band, Shakin' Brave. This was just the beginning of his music career, as he would go on to become the frontman for the rock band Everclear. The band gained widespread popularity with hit singles like "Santa Monica" and "AM Radio."
