Ariel Kaplan was born on April 5, 1994 in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1996, her family made the decision to move to Australia in search of new opportunities. As a young girl, Ariel showed a passion for the performing arts and began her training at The Jane Moore Academy of Ballet.
While still in her early teens, Ariel landed her first stage roles in various adaptations of popular musicals such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Annie, The Sound of Music, and Les Miserables.
