Angela Christine Cipra was born on May 27, 1995, in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the eldest of three children, born to Daniel L. Cipra and Ainez A. Chong. Angela's younger sister, Dani, also found success in gymnastics, following in her older sister's footsteps. Angela also has a younger brother, Christopher.
