Andrew Martin, known to wrestling fans as Test, was born on March 17, 1975 in Whitby, Canada. Growing up in a close-knit family, he had a passion for sports from a young age. He excelled in hockey and football, but it was his love of wrestling that would ultimately shape his future.
While working at a restaurant, Martin crossed paths with legendary wrestler Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Impressed by Martin's athleticism and determination, Hart offered to train him in the art of professional wrestling. Under Hart's guidance, Martin honed his skills and made his wrestling debut in the late 1990s.
One of Martin's most memorable moments in wrestling came when he teamed up with Booker T. The duo quickly rose through the ranks, capturing tag team championship titles in both the WWF and WCW. Their electrifying chemistry in the ring made them fan favorites, and solidified Martin's status as a rising star in the wrestling world.
Outside of the ring, Martin's personal life was just as eventful. He dated fellow WWE wrestler Stacy Keibler, before entering into a two-year relationship with Barbie Blank. Tragically, Martin's life was cut short at the young age of 33, when he passed away from an alleged accidental oxycodone overdose.
In addition to his tag team success, Martin's on-screen relationship with Stephanie McMahon from 1999-2001 remains a memorable highlight of his career. Fans were captivated by the drama and intrigue of their storyline, showcasing Martin's versatility as a performer.
Andrew Martin may have left us too soon, but his impact on the wrestling world continues to be felt to this day. His talent, charisma, and passion for the sport will always be remembered by fans and fellow wrestlers alike. Rest in peace, Test.
